An international panel of experts discuss: What can we learn from Germany, Spain, and other countries about feed-in tariffs? How will feed-in tariffs benefit homeowners, businesses, developers, utilities, and the environment? Feed-in tariffs can be described as payments for the purchase of renewable electricity that is "feeding into" the grid in order to encourage renewable energy development. Typical European feed-in tariffs consist of a simple, long-term standard contract and fixed electricity payments.
